Lifelong Upstate New Yorker, and back 3 gens on each side. I have a great love for this state, as I have never lived anywhere else. I have lived in Utica, New Hartford, New York Mills, Oneida, Fayetteville, Auburn, Rochester, and Rose NY. I am a regular in the ADK region, and I frequent the Finger Lakes/Wayne County. I regularly visit local museums, libraries, and land trusts or conservancies to engage with my community and learn more about this place I am from. I am not beholden to NYS as a living place, and tbh would like to live out the rest of my life elsewhere. But as I am here now, I would prefer a partner that understands how we live in this Northeastern state.
